Loopz is my one-person studio—the trade name of Machtelinckx Consultancy CommV. I design, build, test and support my apps myself, which keeps the loop between a user's problem and a fix as short as it can possibly be.

The QA habit

I work as a QA engineer, and that habit runs through everything Loopz ships: I'm more interested in how software behaves when things go slightly wrong than in how it demos when everything goes right. It makes me a slower feature-writer and a much better app-builder.

Before the apps

Loopz started as an automation consultancy. I spent years connecting other people's tools and automating their workflows, including as a registered Make partner. That work taught me where software actually rubs against daily life—and eventually I wanted to build the products themselves, not just the connections between them. Today the apps come first. What Loopz makes

Two iPhone apps so far: ScoreShare, a live scoreboard for grassroots soccer sidelines, and RoutinePass, which helps people follow through on rehab and mobility exercises they already know. Different products, same recipe: a concrete moment of friction, a focused tool, careful iteration.
